Our Annual Strawberry Festival is celebrated on the second Saturday of June at the Community House, and is a church wide effort. Church members and friends volunteer and work together to prepare the delicious picnic supper and dessert that draws visitors from all over Butler and Hamilton counties, and even as far as Kentucky and Indiana! Long lines that can last for hours are a common sight at this event. Nearly 1,200 pints of strawberries are stemmed and cut; 1,100 short cakes are handmade; 130 gallons of rich homemade ice cream is churned; and 90 lbs of chicken are cooked and made into our traditional hot pressed chicken sandwiches in preparation for this event! Homemade pies are also donated. This wonderful menu has made this a popular event for over 90 years. Proceeds from this event are used for the maintenance of our historic Community House to ensure its use by the church and community for years to come.
